Wireless retrofit

Wi-Fi smart home installation for finished homes in Dubai

A wireless smart home upgrades the home you already live in. Smart switches, controllers and motors replace or sit alongside existing fittings, so most work happens at the switch plate, the AC controller or the curtain track rather than inside your walls.

What you get

  • Control lights, AC and curtains from wall switches, your phone or a voice assistant.
  • Set scenes like “Arrive home” or “Good night” that change several things at once.
  • Schedules that follow your routine, such as cooling the bedroom before you sleep.
  • A setup that can grow room by room as your budget allows.

Is it right for your home?

Good fit

  • Finished apartments, townhouses and villas
  • Rented homes where landlord approval is easier for non-invasive work
  • Owners who want to start small and expand

Worth considering

  • Very large villas may need extra repeaters or a wired backbone
  • Some switch boxes lack a neutral wire or depth; we check on survey
  • Building Wi-Fi quality affects reliability

How installation works

  1. 01

    Plan

Use the instant estimate, then email us your plan. We reply with questions and arrange a site visit.

  2. 02

    Survey

We check wiring, devices and compatibility on site. For wireless systems we also check Wi-Fi coverage and switch box depth.

  3. 03

    Design & quote

You receive a written proposal with confirmed devices, prices and what is excluded.

  4. 04

    Install & configure

We install, set up scenes and schedules, and test every circuit, zone or track.

  5. 05

    Handover

We walk you through the app and wall controls and leave a simple summary of your setup.

Included

  • Supply of agreed smart devices
  • Installation at existing switch, AC and curtain points
  • Hub or bridge setup where the chosen devices need one
  • App setup, rooms, scenes and schedules
  • Testing and customer handover

Not included

  • New cabling, chasing or civil works
  • Wi-Fi network upgrades or new access points (quoted separately if needed)
  • Replacing non-dimmable light fittings
  • Building or community approvals

Compatibility

  • Local control varies by device: many wireless switches still work by hand, and some hubs run scenes locally, but app and voice control from outside the home usually need internet.
  • Device brands are proposed after survey based on availability and your home; we don't promise a specific brand in advance.
  • Wi-Fi and KNX do not offer identical features. Wireless suits retrofit; KNX suits deeper, wired whole-home control.

Questions

Will my smart home stop working if the internet goes down?

It depends on the devices chosen. Wall switches normally keep working, and some hubs run automations locally. Remote control from outside the home and voice assistants typically need internet. We explain the behaviour of your specific devices before you commit.

Do you need to open walls?

Usually not. Most wireless work happens inside existing switch boxes and at AC controllers or curtain tracks. If a box is too shallow or lacks a neutral wire we tell you on survey.

Can I add more later?

Yes. Wireless systems are well suited to adding rooms or devices over time.

Is the online estimate a quote?

No. It is a planning budget. Prices and compatibility are confirmed after survey in a written quote.
